My name is Jennifer Hubler. My family and I live in a very small town near Marshall, Minnesota. It's located in the Southwest corner of the state.

We have a large family consisting of, my husband and myself, and our 6 wonderful kids. We have 2 boys and 4 girls, ranging in age from 8 yrs. to 23 yrs. old.

We live on a little over 8 acres with our horses  &  dogs.

My love for Maltese came about 19 years ago, when a new neighbor moved in. I use to watch her with her tiny little dog with the long silky coat. I didn't want to appear pushy, so it took me awhile, before I actually went up to her house, and asked to see this animal.

It was love at first sight! This glamorous little girl, came bouncing out the door, and I couldn't believe how beautiful and perfect she was. She was 3 lbs., of spoiled, hyper excitement. When I saw her standing there in full coat, babydoll face and a bow in her hair, I got choked up and needless to say, the rest is history.

Shih Tzus became my second love, when my sister inlaw took me to a breeders house, to show me the puppy, that she would be getting soon. I had no intentions of getting one. Well, I peeked in the box and, saw 4 sets of big fat eyeballs staring at me.

There were two girls, and two boys. My sister inlaw was getting a little fat female with a half black face. I kept trying to steer her in the direction, of the little brindle female, with the black mask. Well, she decided to stay with the little girl she had chosen, so we left.

A few days later, my sister inlaw got her puppy. In the meantime, I was being haunted by visions of this black mask, with beady little eyes. All I saw, was this black mask with eyeballs. I felt like a snake dancing in a basket and the black mask was the flute player. I couldn't stand it no more!

I called the breeder, and a short while later, found myself and the hubby in the car, bouncing back down the 50 miles of rough road, to get that black mask with the beady eyes. We named her Buttons.
